Canine Reports
The Canine Reports section of the left hand navigation pane contains very important information! It is here that we list the dates of records available in our system. Since we must manually verify and record information in our system it can take several months after a show before this data is available for your use. Please pay close attention to this area of our rating system interface and it will let you know at a glance when our data has been updated.
Frequently exhibitors contact us concerned that there dog is not in our system. The most common reason for this occurance is due to the fact that our records are not yet covering the dates when their dog showed. You dog will not be in our system until after the date in which it showed!
Information Explaining Our Rating Systems
General Information
Corrections
Our canine record data is obtained from the AKC Awards publication that is published monthly by the American Kennel Club. Data may also be obtained from the AKC web site. Since these sources are considered the official record of the AKC, we abide by this record unless exhibitors provide us with written notice (explaining the error and providing evidence for the correction). Contact us using this form if you are aware of errors in your record. In maintaining statistical data on thousands of dogs, errors can occur. There are a number of reason why this happens. Most commonly it is due to recording errors in the original data. Here omissions occur and typos exist. The AKC will publish corrections to their records, however, it is often published several months after we have obtained our data. Henceforth, we may not pick up the correction until after our record has already been published.
One of the reasons we decided to put our records online is to allow you to check your record to make sure is is correct. As well, if you notice an error that has been published by the AKC, we also appreciate notice so we can correct our records as well. We highly encourage exhibitors to notify us in writing if they notice errors in their dog's record. Please use this convenient form to make sure you provide us with the precise data we need to investigate your claim!

The Delaney® Rating System ranks dogs in obedience competition that place first through fourth in any obedience class. One point is earned for each dog defeated in the class competition. In a class of twenty competing dogs the first place winner would receive 19 points as it defeated this number. The second placing dog would receive 18 points, third place 17 points and fourth place 16 points. Points in each class are awarded based on the number of dogs competing in that class. Annual reports are based on the entire calendar year (January 1st through December 31st). All ties for a placement are listed.
Obedience Ratings By Score
With regards to obedience we also publish Front & Finish® Ratings By Score. These breakdowns represent combined scores of dogs competing in Novice A & B, or Open A & B, or Utility A & B. These comparisons are based on the First & Foremost® rules and point schedule. We do not rank Novice B, or Open B, or Utility B classes individually. If requested we can run individualized reports based only on these classes. Contact us for details and pricing.
Agility Ratings By Placement
The Agility standings listed in Front & Finish® follow the Delaney® system principals used for obedience. Reports are currently divided into Novice, Open, Excellent A and Excellent B reports. FAST class breakdowns may be forthcoming soon. In order to obtain points a dog must place 1st through 4th in one of the five height divisions. One point is earned for each dog defeated in each class. For example: in a class of twenty competing dogs the first place winner would receive 19 points as it defeated this number. The second placing dog would receive 18 points, third place 17 points and fourth place 16 points. Points in each class are awarded based on the number of dogs competing in that class. Annual reports are based on the entire calendar year (January 1st through December 31st). All ties for a placement are listed.
