My name is Roslyn "Ozzie Foreman", and I have lived in the Cincinnati, OH area my entire life.
EDUCATION: I have a B.S. in Elementary Education. I have taught children in the Cincinnati and Mt. Healthy school districts for 18 years. I began instructing dog obedience in 1975.
MY DOGS: Since 1974, my husband Richard and I have owned and co-trained 7 Newfoundlands, 2 American Staffordshire Terriers, and 2 Shetland Sheepdogs. Six of the Newfoundlands and all of the American Staffordshires have attained their CDX, with two of the Newfs and both of the Shelties having a UD tacked on the end of their names. There have been two Champions, one UDX, two AXs and AXJs, two REs, two Can CDs, three U-CDXs, four NCA DD and an SD. I am proud of every dog I have trained, and each has reached new and special heights. I currently live with three rehomed dogs my Sheltie, U-CDX Mai-Tai Down Under UDX, RE, AX, AXJ, AXP, AXPJ, USDAA-AD, SD (Mindi), Mollybrook's MacLeod RN (Mac) and Sheltie U-CDX Benjamin's Tammy's Promise UD, RE, AX, AXJ, NAP, NJP (Tammy) who is trained by Rick. Mindi is my certified Service Dog.
WRITINGS: I have written the "Ohio Valley Outlook" column for FRONT AND FINISH since 1995. I also wrote the "Ask the Dog Trainer" and "Around the Show Ring" columns in DOG OWNER'S GUIDE (www.canismajor.com/dog/). In the past, I have had numerous articles published in OFF LEAD, DOG AND KENNEL, and several TFH books.

BUSINESS: In 1990, I began Refraf Obedience, teaching classes and private individuals. |
