| A mixed German Shepherd, Hobo, brought Linda into the world of dog obedience in 1971. She has since titled 2 mini Poodles, 1 Sheltie and 8 Goldens, two of which earned their OTCH and were GRCA Obedience Hall of Famers. Linda's Golden, Miss Ellie, also a UDX, earned nine tournament placements and made the National rating systems several years in a row. Linda has earned over 40 High in Trial Awards. She began judging AKC obedience in 1989. She has since been honored to judge several National Obedience Tournaments including the prestigious AKC National Invitational. In 1992 she was honored to participate on the AKC Obedience Advisory Committee that formulated the new UDX title and also served on the AKC's Rally Obedience Advisory Committee from 2000-2004 assisting in the regulations, set-up and implementation. She has instructed obedience classes since 1973 and has written training materials and has built class designs for several clubs. She is currently showing a Golden, Ice, who earned his Master Agility Championship, MACH title in 2003. Her younger dog, Shooter now a CDX, earned her CD with two High in Trials, a WC field title and AKC Junior Hunter, JH title. Linda is a monthly columnist for Front & Finish, an Obedience Magazine and is an active member in several Clubs. |
