Tracking and Flat-Coated Retrievers have been an important part of my life for over 25 years. My dogs and I have participated in tracking, obedience, field work, conformation, agility, and nursing home visits.

My current dog is my own breeding, Flat-Coated Retriever, Ch Sunshine's Roundstone Reveler VCD1 TDX JH WC TDI. Reveler is a 5th generation TDX dog in my family.

Through tracking seminars, workshops and classes, I have helped start many new trackers in the sport. It has been satisfying to watch and help people with dogs from all seven groups succeed in the field.

I am a member of the Prairie Peninsula Tracking Society, the Flat-Coated Retriever Society of America, the Dog Training Club of Champaign-Urbana, and the Midwest Waterways Flat-Coated Retriever Club

As a free lance writer I have written Tracker's Forum for Front and Finish for years and published articles on tracking in other publications. As a researcher I have published journal articles related to the human-animal bond.

Judging tracking tests has been a satisfying way to contribute to the sport. I have been fortunate to judge well over 500 dogs in at least 20 states, which has given me many fresh views of the sport. Everywhere trackers exhibit the finest camaraderie to be found in dog sports.

I hope you will join in sharing your tracking experiences, joys and mistakes by sending information to Tracker's Forum.
