Photograph and Graphic Content
We strongly encourage the submission of photographs and artwork to emphasize your articles. We make every effort to publish all graphic content submitted as it dramatically improves the communicative value of your work. It also lends itself well to the new published format of F&F.
We ask that you indicate the desired placement of pictures and artwork within your copy but do not embed the actual images. We will try to follow your instructions but placement may vary depending on page layout specifications. All graphic content must include a credit to the photographer or artist. We cannot include image content without an accompanying credit line! To satisfy these requirements we ask that you indicate image placement and credit using BOLD CAPS ON SEPARATE LINES IN YOUR COPY. For example:

Digital imaging has become part of our everyday lives. Unfortunately many of these images are not suitable for reproduction in print. Digital imaging can be confusing but we recommend the following suggestions to ensure the best reproduction.
Most current digital cameras on the market today are capable of producing quality images for reproduction. If you take your own pictures using digital photography, make sure they are taken at the highest quality setting your camera will allow. Our reproduction process requires a minimum of 300 dpi resolution at full size.
If you scan your own pictures or images, please do so using a color setting at 300 dpi. When possible it is a good idea to enlarge them to a scale of 8-1/2 inches wide and/or 11 inches tall. We can scan your images to our specifications if you wish to mail them to us. We securely return all materials when they include a return address on the back of each image.
Writer's Bio
All authors are required to have a picture of themselves and an autobiography on file with us. This information will be published on our web site and may be used in our publications. You are encouraged to update your autobiography at any time there are significant changes. This autobiography should highlight your experiences with dogs and can contain any other information you wish divulged. Your autobiography does not have to include personal contact information beyond an email address, city, and state. You are welcome to make this autobiography as pithy or comprehensive as you wish.
Online Material
Authors submitting copy for publication in F & F understand and agree that we may publish all or portions of their articles on our web site in addition to our printed issues. To compliment published articles and increase exposure all authors have the option of adding additional material to our web site libraries. If you are interested please contact us for more details.
