Front & Finish®
Awards of Excellence (FFX) Discontinued
DUE TO COST INCREASES WE REGRET TO INFORM EXHIBITORS THAT THE FFX AWARDS WERE CANCELLED IN DECEMBER 2023. THE INFORMATION WHICH FOLLOWS IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE INTERESTED IN KNOWING WHAT THE PROGRAM WAS ABOUT.
Theory
In education students receive diplomas to indicate successful completion of standards set by their institutions of learning. Among those graduating, some scholars are acknowledged with latin honors of distinction for meeting standards that go above and beyond the basic requirements of graduation. This is the theory behind the Front & Finish® Awards of Excellence (FFX). While a title can be considered similar to a diploma, the FFX is intended to recognize higher levels of training and accomplishment.
Exhibitors can apply to Front & Finish to certify their dog’s FFX award. Front & Finish offers two levels of recognition for obedience and two for rally. When approved, exhibitors may include the appropriate “FFX” designation in their dog’s suffix titles. Since the FFX is only offered for AKC events, we suggest placing FFX designations at the end of your dog’s regular AKC obedience & rally title groupings . Multiple award winners within a classification will be designated by a numeral following the FFX title (as in FFX~OG2, FFX~RG3, etc.).
